Kessel was joined by Solar Liberty officials atcompany headquarters. In May, Kesseol revealed the project plansat UB’s Center for Tomorrow. It would have 5,00o panels to generate power at four campushousing complexes, a tota l of 735 apartments housing approximately 2,00o students. Kessel said the project would cost anestimatex $7.5 million. If the board give s its OK, Kessel said, construction could begihn as earlyas August, with a completionb date sometime in the fall of 2010.

The contract, whicyh was subject to a competitive would be awardedto Ontario, Canada-based DeCloet Greenhousre Manufacturing. Solar Liberty President Adam Rizzo said DeCloet is experiencede in putting steel in the ground for such and the two companies woulwork together. Approximately $6 million of the contract is expected to go toSolad Liberty.
