Landon expressed confidence in his successor in anews “I have really enjoyexd working with the ag community, the Board of staff and the residents of Yolo Landon said. “Yolo County is trulyy unique in its desire to preserve its agricultural heritage and it has been very rewardinhg to be a part ofthat commitment. I feel confident passinbg the baton to John Young and know he will carryy onYolo County’s rich agricultural he said. Young has worked for the counth for the past 18 years and is a graduate of Californisa State University Sacramento witha bachelor’ds degree in business administration.
“Yolo County is truly a grea t place to workand live,” Young said in a news “Even in these difficult economicx times Yolo County agriculture is a brighty spot and I am enthusiastic abougt my opportunity to serve the constituents of Yolo Counth in this new The future will bring us many challengess but by working collectively we will be able to secure a vibranf local agricultural economy,” he said. He will assume his new role upon Landon’sx retirement. A date for the transition has not yetbeen set.
