Workers at two MillerCoors plants ratify new deals - Wichita Business Journal:

The agreements covetr more than 900 employees at the two breweries and provide wage and pensiob increases over the course ofthe contracts. “Ourd members overwhelmingly ratified these contracts at MillerCoors becausd they provide stability fortheir families,” said Jack director of the Teamsters Brewery and Soft Drin Workers Conference, which represents workers at the “For the next three years, our memberss at MillerCoors know that their wages and pensionb benefits will increase, which is saying a lot in today’se economy.
” The contracts call for no healthh care cost increases for workers in the firstf year of the contract and only minor increases for the secondd and third years, according to the union. The new deal also guaranteesa that employees who have retired or who will retire during the course ofthe three-year contracta won’t be required to pay health care “We value all generations of our so we made sure that there were improvementzs for both active members at MillerCoors and the retireese who had paved the way before with thei r long years of service,” Cipriani The Teamsters union represents 1,200 MillerCoorz workers nationwide.

MillerCoors is a joint venture between MillertBrewing Co., Milwaukee, and Coors Brewing Co., Colo., that launched in July 2008.
